Atlanta Woman Seeks Answers on Missing Marine Son
Mrs James W Jackson of Atlanta says her son Lance Cpl James Wesley Jackson Jr has been missing in Vietnam since Sept 21. Marines cannot confirm his location or status, stating he may be with another unit at a hospital dead or a prisoner of war. The family says letters and last sightings raise serious questions about what happened after he was evacuated from the demilitarized zone. Jackson remains in Vietnam as his unit returns to Okinawa, with the mother and local supporters pressing for investigation and transparency.
