Expert testimony questions path of fatal shots in Kirschke case
Dr. Snyder disputed a diagram of the shooting that killed Mrs. Kirschke and Crankhan, arguing the trajectory would deviate from a straight line. He suggested movement by either victim could have occurred before death, countering other pathologists’ views. Snyder, a lawyer and medical examiner, joins the trial as cross examination looms and final arguments near.

Reapportion Bill Advances After Senate Approval
The measure passed with 34 Democrats and Republicans backing final passage as Wakefield and others shift positions to support reapportionment. It targets all California districts within five percent of the ideal population of 413,610 except the 2nd district, which exceeds the range by eight percent. Assemblyman Jack Fenton notes Senate acceptance of changes is politically unlikely, while Harold Johnson represents the overpopulated 2nd district. Court orders set a timetable for districts ahead of the 1968 primary, with Sen James Mills as sponsor.
