A 96 year old California philanthropist A Otis Birch and his 59 year old ex convict wife were found in a 30 foot aluminum trailer near downtown Odessa Texas. A middle aged Black woman with Birch and his wife emerged in police reports. Birch is deaf and nearly blind. The trio arrived in Odessa Friday after a disappearance from Breckenridge Texas and a prior sighting in Wichita Falls. The wife had been jailed for murder but the charge was dismissed. The woman claimed to be the nurse who kidnapped Birch and asked to be left alone. Birch was housed in a hotel while the trailer was secured. It remains unclear if the trailer was bought or rented.
