Statistically Speaking The Draft Lottery Was Rigged
USC mathematician John Ware and Craig Maas analyzed Tuesday after Monday’s draft lottery and found birth dates in the last six months of the year drawn more often. They reported December had the most draws at 120 and March the fewest at 225, noting a 105-spot gap. They argued capsules likely entered the bowl in chronological order, compromising fairness.
