Bell says no final Bakke brief position yet
Atty Gen Griffin Bell said he will consult with President Carter on the U S Supreme Court Bakke case and that the Justice Department has not decided its exact position for the brief. He noted the government will file as friend of the court and support the principle of affirmative action while not fully backing either side.
