RTD officials said talks with striking mechanics will resume Wednesday under state mediation. A separate letter to Gov Brown from HTD board president Byron Cook urged placing transit workers under public employees, removing their right to strike. Union talks with RTD stalled after drivers and mechanics called strikes, with UTU and ATU representing them.
