Seal Beach Councilman Ronald Kredell found himself renegotiating the county old town library contract after criticizing the previous council. City Manager Tennis Courtemarche took on the task as Kredell quipped about the arrangement while fellow councilman Russell Gray disputed the claim.
City records show a North Hollywood firm was retained to manage the Queen Mary project with a $48 000 annual fee and two council reports in six months. Negotiations were ordered to consider leasing to a private operator, while some officials favored a city managed contract.
Los Alamitos City Council revised the master plan to support more commercial and industrial growth along Katella Avenue. The highway commercial zones were set from Reagan Street to Lexington Drive and from east of Bunker Hill Drive to near Siboney Street, while the gap near existing residences remained unchanged. The area includes about 73 acres zoned PM for industrial use and about six acres with HC and PM behind it, with Dunn Properties seeking to develop a light industrial park.
