Cities Back at Rise in Police Cost
Twenty five contract cities with the county for police protection will bring arguments against a proposed cost hike to the county grand jury next month. The county seeks to raise the basic charge from 78400 to 104235 for a 24 hour share, a figure tied to Norwalk Substation costs. The grand jury may or may not adopt the county’s recommendation, echoing a 1953 study that urged lowering costs.
