Son testifies in surgeon rape trial in Long Beach

A Long Beach attorney testified that after his mother told him she was raped by plastic surgeon Robert Kelleher he left the decision to report to police to her. He said he used the term rape first in describing the incident, and that police intake included a possible recording and civil implications were discussed. The trial recessed until Monday.

Tragic 3 year old dies after transplant bid

Capistrano Beach boy Jason Rea died in Costa Mesa after a four day decline following a pool accident that left him brain damaged. He had been flown to Colorado for transplant operations and tested for surgery before withdrawing from the plan. He remained in a coma until death at Mailview State Hospital after return to California.
