Gunman disrupts CBS TV taping at Television City

Police arrested 84 year old Gaylan Brown after he entered CBS TV's Television City in Hollywood and threatened several hundred attendees with a simulated attack. The suspect, who wore brown shoe polish to appear Black, shouted he would kill or blow up the building and claimed Angela Davis was responsible. He was taken to the LAPD Wilshire Division and then to the USC Medical Center psychiatric unit for observation. The Campbell Show taping continued after the disruption and seating was restored.

Jet lands safely after wheel loss on El Al flight 217

An El Al Boeing 707 with 145 aboard landed safely at Kennedy Airport with one nose wheel missing. The flight 217 originated in Tel Aviv with a stop in Geneva, where wheel fragments were found on the runway. Officials notified the airline of the incident.

Floundering Boat Crew Rescued Off California Coast
