King says Johnson will lose in 1968 to any Republican
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. told a Cleveland audience that President Johnson would lose the 1968 race unless Republicans nominate Richard Nixon or someone like him. He ruled out a third party bid, praised Robert Kennedy, and condemned violence by figures like the Rap Brown and Carmichael.
