US Air Force Band Invited Amid Ban Debate at Ramsgate Parade
In Ramsgate England a US Air Force band accepted an invitation to perform at the carnival parade despite a proposed ban on American soldiers. Alderman Eddie Butcher, chairing the carnival committee, supported the band’s participation citing past behavior concerns but noting the invitation was extended earlier and the event would proceed with the servicemen. The town debates whether to bar residents of the base while inviting the visiting musicians.
