Church Rejects Black Manifesto and Expands Aid Plan
The Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) rejected the Black Economic Development Conference manifesto calling for 500 million dollars in reparations. Delegates backed the general board and approved expanding an urban emergency program to four years, with a goal of 4 million in new contributions and redeploying over 30 million for poverty and racism efforts.
