Training drill uses fake burglars to sharpen deputy tactics
Lakewood sheriff's deputies took part in a four day training at a former Cerritos bank building. The exercise used blank pistols and civilian-clad suspects to simulate a burglary in progress, with deputies critiqued on approach and questioning while hidden observers tracked their actions. A 13 year old played a burglar, adding realism to the drill.
