The Ordinary Man Behind Son of Sam Murders

In New York the so called Son of Sam is depicted as an overweight, forgettable man named David Berkowitz. Adopted and restless, he drifted through life with a normal facade, secretly skipping time from job to crime. Friends recall a hyperactive, volatile youth who longed to be a firefighter, held to his mother, and showed a troubling blend of charm and menace.
