Lens implants offer new cataract fix in eyes
In Long Beach New York City and Miami a Netherlands surgeon introduces methyl methacrylate iris clip lenses implanted after cataract removal. The device uses four loops to float in the eye and may require pilocarpine eyedrops to aid positioning. Risks include vitreous leakage and retinal detachment, limiting current use to select cases.
