Long Beach Woman Shot. Son Held For Suspected Murder
A 43 year old Long Beach woman Lucien Madrid was shot early Monday and her 19 year old son Tony Barker was booked on suspicion of attempted murder. The mother remains in serious condition at St Mary Medical Center with a shoulder wound while Barker, found hiding behind a woodpile with a hand wound, is treated at County USC Medical Center. Investigators say a small caliber rifle was used and the pair had argued in their apartment.

The robber ordered him not to call anyone for 10 minutes and escaped with the money.
