Real Estate Group Won’t Seek New Rumford Fight in 1968
Reed Robbins of the California Real Estate Association says there are no plans for another ballot attempt to repeal or modify the Rumford open housing law. He notes the 1967 legislature failed to repeal or revise the act and hopes a proper bill could gain broad backing in 1968. CREA had backed Prop 14 in 1964, which nullified Rumford, but that vote was overturned by courts.
