Bar Association Suit Targets Santa Ana Bankruptcy Advisor
The Orange County Bar Association sues Lloyd P. Simon for practicing law without a license from his Santa Ana office and seeks an injunction. Simon, a retired businessman turned financial consultant, asserts he helps the public with bankruptcy options and denies giving direct legal advice to file for bankruptcy. A hearing is set for August 10 in Santa Ana before Judge Walter E. Smith as the case progresses along with affidavits from former clients and evidence from the bar association’s lawyers Byron Nelson and Terry Giles.
