In Chattanooga Dr Robert Elliott aged 38 was abducted by two masked men after a church return. His body was found in the trunk of his car near Montlake in North Hamilton County after an 18 hour search with helicopters and ground units. His wife Barbara and three sons were unharmed.

Doctor shoots intruders then kills patient in Elkins NC
Elkins NC physician Ralph M. Cooke 66, who had defended his clinic after repeated drug break ins, said he fired at three intruders after hearing a noise.
