Air-cushion boat to begin trip to Tijuana from San Diego
A 52-foot air cushioned craft named the Baja Coaster, flying the Canadian flag, will begin trips from San Diego to Tijuana. Sea trials by the Coast Guard confirmed safety under an international convention. The nine to fifteen minute crossings will run nine weekday round trips and eight weekend trips at four dollars and seventy five cents one-way, with 35 passengers allowed one quart of liquor tax free per person.
