McCord sentence cut to four months in prison
U S District Court Judge John Sirica reduced James McCord's prison term to four months, allowing possible release next month. McCord, 51, was the Watergate wire tapper convicted in 1973 with G Gordon Liddy, and his earlier longer sentence was part of the cover up investigations that led to President Nixon's resignation.
