Solon Plans Bill to Cut Income Tax
Rep Dingell proposes legislation to raise the individual tax exemption from 600 to 700 dollars next Jan 1 to keep the budget in balance even if Congress trims by 1.8 billion. An alternative would raise the exemption to 800 dollars with a larger budget cut. The plan would affect millions of filers and reduce treasury levies by several billion dollars.
