Chou faces bars to U S China accord as students hear report
Aldis Kruse, touring China with 14 scholars, described a Long Beach talk with Premier Zhou Enlai. He said Zhou warned against force on Taiwan, urged peaceful unification, and outlined China policy favoring liberation struggles and coexistence with non Soviet states. Kruse’s group visited many sites, noted cultural shifts, Mao’s cult, and efforts to blend study with work on state farms.
