Dorn opposes statewide property tax bills in Los Angeles
County Supervisor Warren Dorn denounced four pending state bills aiming to impose a statewide property tax, warning of dangerous precedent and added costs for Los Angeles County taxpayers totaling about 693 million dollars. He proposed reducing the county levy by 3.47 with tax-base shifts and urged a 50 50 state share for school financing.
