Air Force plans accelerate superjet fighter and bomber purchases
The coming fiscal year may see the Air Force spend about a billion dollars on urgent efforts to beat Russia in intercontinental missile and fighter programs. Plans include 105 aircraft costing 32.7 billion, with 119 bombers and 699 jet fighters. Nike missiles also planned, totaling around 750 million in new outlays for development and testing.
