GOP weighs Miami Beach as GOP convention site

FCC rejects Demo equal time request

The Federal Communications Commission refused the Democratic National Committee demand that NBC and CBS provide one hour of prime time for responses to programs featuring President Nixon. The agency rejected arguments that the broadcasts before Nixon's 1972 campaign were political and favorable to his administration and dismissed the request for DNC surrogate spokesman rights.
