Judge orders return of money found on Scott in belt
In Detroit federal court Judge Theodore Levin ordered the return of $100 of the $1,400 found on L. Ewing Scott in a money belt. Scott paid his attorney Gabriel Cohn and then agreed to take $1,800 as a reasonable amount for legal expenses. Bond set at $100,000, but Cohn argued that figure was unaffordable. Scott, a self-styled Los Angeles investment broker, is charged with murdering his wife Evelyn Throsby Scott and fleeing California. He plans to fight extradition.
