IAM union to vote on mediation package at Los Angeles arena
After nine weeks on strike against McDonnell Douglas Corp the International Association of Machinists will put a mediation backed contract to members for a vote at 11 am Saturday in the Los Angeles Sports Arena. Union officials reject official endorsement yet say the package offers their best terms after prolonged talks.
