In Sacramento a Senate committee approved a Moscone bill requiring gasoline stations to display current prices for every grade on roadside signs to aid motorists. The panel also backed a separate measure to prevent oil firms from charging brand-name dealers more than independents, arguing price disparities burden independent stations.
