Argentina Moves to End Curbs and Form Cabinet Amid Crisis
BUENOS AIRES UPI Rear Adm. Carlos Kohingia was sworn in Monday as navy minister ending Argentina's latest political crisis. President Jose M. Guido set about forming a cabinet to guide the country through elections scheduled for June 23. Kohingia is the 51st cabinet member in the past year, amid ongoing turmoil since the ouster of President Arturo Frondizi. The induction ends the crisis sparked when the navy revolted last Tuesday to block Peronist followers from running in the vote. In California, McAteer and Pittman Republican-backed bills to repeal a curbs on labor unions were killed in committee, with Nisbet voting for, while others were absent.
