Assassins kill German terrorists' prosecutor in Karlsruhe
West Germany mourns Siegfried Buback after a motorcycle gun attack as two assailants sprayed the car with bullets near the Constitutional Court. Police recovered 13 cartridge casings and a stolen motorcycle was found later near the Karlsruhe–Frankfurt autobahn. The event follows trials of Baader Meinhoff gang members and marks another high profile hit linked to leftist extremism.
