Goldwater calls for Cuba exile training and invasion plan
UPI reports Senator Barry Goldwater urged U S training of Cuban exiles and an American airlift to support raids on Cuba. He proposed an OAS sponsored invasion to oust the Russians if needed and criticized President Kennedy for a cautious Cuban policy, predicting GOP gains next year. He dismissed Kennedy’s rhetoric and noted exiles killed Russians recently.
