California Eyes Tightening of Smut Laws in LA Case
California Attorney General Thomas C. Lynch says Los Angeles is the center of a $19 million two-year sex oriented business, urging anti smut bills to shield minors. The Senate Judiciary Committee approves two measures backed by Governor Reagan and Lt. Governor Finch amid debate on First Amendment concerns. Local distributor Milton Luros of North Hollywood is named as a leading figure while the Lynch report highlights LA as a primary source of obscenity feeding the national market.
