Gold Rush Hopes Rally At Whisky Run Bank Haul
In Bowling Green Kentucky on Friday night a crowd hunted for stray currency along Whisky Run a rain swollen storm sewer where hundreds of bills of ten twenty fifty and one hundred dollars surfaced after a pair of boys spotted cash pockets. Police estimate the haul totals at least two thousand dollars with potential much higher and note serial numbers date to 4034 or earlier. The effort waned by Friday morning but revived when tunnels beneath city streets yielded more notes as rains receded and the stream returned to normal.
