The salary adjusting commission of the US Senate sends Mr. Boyd to Dayton Ohio from September 23 to 27 for the rural carriers national convention. Boyd is a long time carrier popular in the state with fifteen years of service. The next state convention will be held at Corvallia on Labor Day 1920.
Rural Mail Carriers Convene in Oregon
The 17th annual convention of the Oregon Rural Mail Carriers Association opened with President A. O. Sturm of Lebanon presiding. Delegates formed committees, lunched in Independence and Monmouth, and set the co operative buying group capital at 5000 dollars to be paid by 1920. A. G. Sturm was elected president with M. B. Grant as first vice president.

Funeral services are planned for Saturday.
