Corvallis Woman Killed in Auto Accident
Mrs. Peter Scov of Corvallis died after a car driven with her brother Samuel L. Gould failed brakes on a steep grade in Shasta County California. The vehicle rolled 300 feet. she lived an hour. She ran a college boarding house and is survived by her husband and a daughter.

At a special Hood River Legion meeting attended by civic groups and business leaders, it was decided the county memorial to eight war dead becomes a community center under Legion control. Plans include quarters for the Legion Grand Army Woman's Relief Corps Women's Auxiliary and Boy Scouts, a large auditorium and swimming pool funded by public appropriations and subscriptions. A $1000 nucleus has already been raised.
