Organize Farm Bureau Gains Steam Across Polk County
At a mass meeting in Dallas on March 6 Farm Bureau plans were approved to knit county farm efforts. P. Powell was named temporary chairman and A. G. Rempel secretary. A county-wide program includes squirrel poisoning, cooperative livestock shipment, corn quality boosts, and county fair support with a $1 annual membership. Temporary executive officers were elected to oversee a spring push toward a permanent organization.
