Alfred Loy of Buena Vista is elected president and Miss May McDonald of Dallas secretary of the Polk County Club at the Oregon Agricultural College. The group adopts “Greater O A D” as its motto and will unite with county alumni to inform voters about the college’s financial needs.
Violae Wood Redwell born January 14 1900 near Independence was the youngest daughter of Viola and Edward Redwell. She joined the church at age 12 and married William FH Kodad in October 1919. The couple moved to Tillamook where she died March 4 1920. She is survived by her husband her parents six sisters and one brother.
Mesdames Walker Conkey Butler Eeker and Jones entertained Civic Club members and guests at the Walker home on Fifth Street with decorated rooms, daffodils, and Oregon grape. Austine of Monmouth spoke on YMCA work in France, with songs by Mrs Butler and light refreshments afterward. Next meeting set for March 24.
The Baptist church reports strong attendance growth since January with 17 new members received and several candidates awaiting baptism. The Sunday School meets at 10 a.m. and prayer meeting is at 7 30 p.m. Wednesday. The pastor will preach The Triumph of the Cross in the morning and A Gy v Man Lost and a Wid Man Saved in the evening. Also filed in Dallas circuit court are several quiet title cases including Barham McBee Black Mubhallen.
On March 4 Judge Belt granted a divorce decree dissolving the marriage of Anna Grace McNeill and Robert B. McNeill. The ruling ends their marital union and records the legal separation.
