H. K. Smith born Newark November 8 1850 died June 16 1002 at his home in Independence. Death of Ashland Resident William Patterson Sudden
Mrs. C H Percival received a telegram this week informing her of the death of her father William Patterson a well known Ashland citizen. Mrs Patterson was at her daughter's home when the news came and left for Southern Oregon immediately. Patterson died suddenly said to be from apoplexy.
