E D Ressler president of the Oregon State Normal School at Monmouth is a renowned coastal educator born in Ohio with 37 years in education. He previously led Eugene High School to stability and later chaired pedagogy at the State University before guiding the Normal School's growth. He was recently elected president of the Western Division of the State Teachers Association.

The board of directors met last Thursday and filled two vacancies by electing Miss Maud Iliff of this city and Miss Snyder of Eugene. Miss Diffie, a recent East arrival, joins the faculty and shows promise as a useful member. Miss Snyder is also well recommended.
