In Monmouth public school students studying wireless telegraphy show growing skill and practice. Boys in the county area are in close contact via wireless stations. The faculty supports the program as it expands with an expected two thirds owning and operating stations within a year. Oregonian.

George Rogers a Civil War veteran and longtime Oregon resident died in Portland on January 4 1911 after an amputation and long illness. Born October 27 1804 in Erie Pennsylvania he lived in Monmouth and near there before moving to Portland where he settled in recent years. He was married three times and leaves four children. He was active in politics and well known across the state.

George Chamberlain, famed in Ashland and nearby, killed Andrea Massinii in Portland over alleged spoiling of his tome. The county grand jury heard evidence and secured a statement from Mrs. Chamberlain about indiscretion, allowing Chamberlain to go free.
