The funeral for Mrs Elizabeth Plant aged 76 9 months who died December 21 at Main Street Independence was held December 23 at St Pauls Church Salem with Rev C H Powell and music by Mrs Carlton Smith. Interment followed at City View Cemetery. Born March 14 1844 in Burton on Trent England she was widow of Joseph Plant and mother of ten. Arrived in the U S in 1913 and lived nearby since. Many relatives attended and floral tributes from her children grandchildren and friends filled the service.
The Churches Regular service will be held at Calvary Presbyterian next Sunday at 11 o clock with preaching by Dr H C Dunsmore. Mr O A Macy of Portland will sing and the pastor aims for a special first Sunday of the year service.
