Pioneer Lawrence M Hall, Monmouth native, dies at home

Lawrence Marion Hall known as Lark Hall died at his Monmouth residence after recent illness. Born November 20 1846 in Eyreau county Illinois, he came to Oregon with the Donner party and later settled Buena Vista. He married twice and had nine daughters. a longtime Polk county figure, he served as sheriff from 1878 to 1882. Memorial services will be held at the home of Claude Sindarin in Monmouth.
