Ledford in France nurse Seeks heartfelt farewell

Miss Ledford, a Hillsboro native and nurse at Base Hospital 110, died in France after shellfire near the front. Corporal Copeman, 26, of Milligan Neb., an Army engineer, also killed in action earlier. The letter from Flora Curtis of the YWCA recalls the services, the funeral at a nurses hut, and the burial in a soldiers cemetery as the community mourns their sacrifices for country.

About 3000 of Oregon’s 10 000 farmers will receive the new farm record books designed by R V Gunn farm management demonstrator at the College to fit local conditions.
