Water agreement ties city to five year service plan
The Monmouth Water Light Co and the city reach a five year arrangement with a monthly rate of six dollars per month for water supply and related apparatus. The deal, not a formal contract, will be presented at the next meeting and outlines duties for the water utility and city, including free service for public uses and equipment provision by the company. The plan hinges on a vacancy in the city board and fertilizer details are yet to be finalized.
