Bloomington Convention Adopts Slavery Expansion Platform
The Bloomington Illinois convention praised by acclamation the ticket of Bissell and Hoffman, with Lincoln and others speaking on slavery extension. A large gathering heard Gov Reed of Kansas recount outrages, while W. H. Bromwall and others were chosen for electoral roles and delegates to the Philadelphia convention.
