Milwaukee and Minneapolis dispatches report President Taft will leave for Chicago tomorrow to outline his future policy toward Alaska. Taft faced a storm in Milwaukee, getting thoroughly drenched before making cover.
Nome reports warm rains and strong winds slowing travel as the Senator and Victoria race to reach Seattle. The Senator has been discharged and the Victoria is due to sail tomorrow, marking the last boats competing in the voyage.
The Seat tle Chamber of Commerce announces a new Alaskan bureau to watch over Northern interests with branches in Seattle and Washington DC. The move aims to coordinate regional economic and policy matters, signaling stronger organizational presence for Alaska-related advocacy.

Reports from London and Asia describe rebels taking Canton with 1.6 million residents, Foochow falling, and Admiral Ping’s gunboat fleet surrendering. Hankow is in rebels hands. foreigners reportedly escaped Pekin as Japanese troops deploy amid possible international tensions.
In Fairbanks and Iditarod dated October 1911 discussions urge the President to fund Alaska roads at one million dollars yearly for five years. The Pioneer of Iditarod declines to endorse or oppose any movement by newspapers or groups acting as mediators between the people of Alaska and the President.

Mrs Reideselle bound over to the grand jury by Commissioner Taylor on a larceny charge. Former parlor operator on Second avenue, now resident at Flat, alleged stolen goods found in her possession after a search warrant. Woman described as mentally unbalanced.
Frank Gotch will meet Leon in Seattle on November 3, a Fowler travels from Los Angeles to Yuma aiming to fly across the continent. Aviator Rodgers wrecked his plane at Spofford Texas but escaped injury. Wolgast and Welch set to meet in Los Angeles on Thanksgiving4. Supreme Court arguments continue in Monday and Shields coal cases. Hyde's second murder trial begins in Kansas City. General Francesco Madero to be inaugurated Mexico President on Sunday November 3.
Boston and Cambridge react to the arrest of Rev. Clarence Richeson a prominent Cambridge Baptist minister on a murder charge. He allegedly poisoned Miss Alvis Linnell 19 amid a hoped marriage to heiress Violet Edmonds. Grand jury evidence has been presented. Meanwhile reports from Tripoli claim fifteen thousand Italian troops have landed and an armistice talk is dismissed.
Arctic Brotherhood Camp Iditarod No 27 reports rapid growth with many new initiation applications and several members joining as life or regular members. The A B dances at A B Hall offer free transport for women from Flat City and creeks to Iditarod next Tuesday afternoon with 1 o'clock tram. Passes available at Flat City Ticket office. Visiting ladies receive return tickets to be used Wednesday. Also note Mahmoud Khan prepares fresh tamales with guaranteed quality and refunds if unhappy. Fresh frozen tamales available to creeks in any quantity. Hospital promotes porcelain tub baths to avoid catching cold at Iditarod. For sale: four strong malamute dogs and hickory sled at Riverside hotel.
The annual hospital fete will run December 14 and 15 with free admission on day one. Day two requires a $2 donation for the carnival ball. A voting contest seeks the camp’s most popular lady, with coupons worth a quarter each casting votes and a prize for the top recipient. Committee members include F. A. Cleveland and Mayor J. F. Byrne. Green red and yellow are the fete colors. Mrs. Davis opens hospital rooms Mondays and Thursdays for social gatherings. October 27. Three men arrested for sniping on a rich claim owned by Pioneer Mining Company. Grand jury names Eekdihl Hausner and Thompson. They are held on $1,000 bail each.
Overseer A K Light took five men to Dikeman for winter trail repairs between that town and Iditarod City. With a meager appropriation only five to six days of work are planned, focusing on bank cutting and one or two small bridges. Freight volumes on the Dikeman trail this winter are expected to be well below last year, while Vedestsians are anticipated in moderate numbers both inbound and outbound.
Arrangements for basketball games in the A B Hall are nearing completion with windows screened and lighting rearranged. Two teams are set. A Hus and N C Co with expected lineups including Wood, Fowler, Wilson, De Baum, Paris for NC and Hunt, Button, Lomen, Donnelly, Hansen for AB. Community teams from creeks and other towns may form.
