A thief stole 50 pounds of grub from Willow Point near Iditarod City. He hid the loot in willows after ice blocked the river, then owners Adolph Miller and Alex Reid recovered the goods following a hunch. Moose cafe owner Jim Neashi reported a missing beef quarter. Accidental Rifle Death on George River Camp
A Montenegrin named William Trisco was killed by an accidental rifle discharge during a struggle over a gun at a camp on the North Fork of the George river Kusokwim.
