Well Known Woman Bies in Fairbanks
The funeral of Mrs. Celia N. McConnell Shaw wife of N A Shaw proprietor of the Shaw house at Fairbanks was held July 6 after a six week illness. The services were at the Shaw house and the remains were escorted to the cemetery by many friends. Mrs Shaw came to Alaska in 1874 locating in the Fortymile country and two years later they moved to Fairbanks. Since 1906 the Shaw house has been her project and she was a widely known woman of the North.
